Getting Started with Your PC
 Turning On and Off Your Computer
When you first start using your PC, it’s important to know how to power it up and shut it down properly. To turn on the PC, simply press the Power button (usually located on the front or side of the case). When you’re done, click Start in the bottom-left corner and select Shut Down or Restart.
The Desktop and Taskbar
The Desktop is your workspace where you’ll find icons for apps, files, and folders. The Taskbar is at the bottom of the screen and contains shortcuts to programs you use most often, as well as the Start Menu.
 Using the Start Menu
The Start Menu is your gateway to everything on your computer. To open it, simply click the Windows icon in the bottom-left corner. You can search for apps, settings, and files here, or pin your favorite programs for quick access.
 Managing Multiple Windows
Working with multiple windows? Use the Minimize, Maximize, and Close buttons in the top-right corner to manage your open programs. You can also use Alt+Tab to quickly switch between open apps.
